Special Alert!

Since John suffered a heart attack on October 9, 2010 and is unable to work for 3-4 months (and there's no income replacement insurance for self-employed musicians!), many people have been asking if there is a way they can help out over the next few months.

We have set up this Paypal donation box to accommodate such requests.
Thank you for your continuing support!

Oct. 27, 2010 - More info on John's heart attack emerges in the press - John swears he didn't just do this for the media attention!

See the Ottawa Citizen blog article here.

Oct. 14, 2010 - John suffers heart attack, recovery prognosis good! - Just after 10 pm on October 8, 2010, John was rushed to the Ottawa General Hospital where he suffered a heart attack. Once stabilized, he was transferred to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, where he underwent surgery to repair a completely blocked artery.

While the road to recovery and rehabilitation may be longer than John may have wanted, doctors are saying that he should be back playing live and touring by early 2011. In the meantime, John has said the break will give him the opportunity to write, plan his next release and work on future tour planning.

The set-back, however, has left John unable to play gigs and earn a living for the rest of the year. So if you have not already purchased John's music and merch, now would be a GREAT time to do so! Please visit the e-store and take advantage of the sale prices... and help John and his family get through this set back. As always, thanks for your support!
